About
Hi there! My name is Asher and I am a 2-spirit indigenous artist, and an enrolled member of the Wind River Arapaho Nation. Daylighting as the VTuber ChonkWitch, I reside near one of the many green belts of the Pacific Northwest. Along side streaming video games on Twitch, I am a part-time, self-taught digital artist.I have been creating art since I was very small. I spent a lot of time with my grandma --who was a self-taught oil painter-- and some of my oldest memories are of sitting at her kitchen table painting with my Crayola watercolors. I eventually turned in my Crayolas for Copics and then making the leap into digital in 2005. At the time I did not have a drawing tablet and used a mouse to color my line art I scanned into Photoshop.It was not until I was in college that I leveled up my digital art game by getting a tablet. While pursuing my BAS in Early Childhood Education and eventually my career as a preschool teacher, I drew fervently with dreams of becoming a full-time artist.That opportunity was provided to me in 2020, and I opened up an Etsy to sell stickers, keychains and art prints. However, like most people, that year was really tough on my mental health and I had to take a step back from my business.After a period of time, my passion for drawing was rekindled when I discovered the world of VTuber streaming. I was excited to learn a new skill by teaching myself how to rig a model in Live2D, and designing accompanying Twitch assets. I now split my time between streaming and drawing, and I absolutely love what I do!
